What is mypage?

Hi!
mypage staff welcomes you aboard the most extraordinary Internet website for children.
mypage is a website that allows you to create your own web pages, decorate and fill them with digital toys called KIDGETS: online games, videos, drawings to colour, polls, trivia...
Like any other web page, yours will have a web address: just choose your nickname and plunge into your new adventure!
Using mypage is very easy! In this guide we tell you everything about mypage and all the incredible things you can do with it.

Sign up to get your own web address

Signing up is very easy: first you must choose a nickname and a password, then you must tell us either your mom’s or dad’s email address. Your nickname will give your page a name.
By signing up to mypage.it you will get a web address to exchange with all your friends.
Here are some examples of mypage addresses:
www.mypage.it/meg
www.mypage.it/superben
As you can see, the first part of the address is already set, while the second is made up by your nickname.

Create your Internet page

Once you create your address you will get an empty web page all for yourself.
It’s your own web space to fill anyway you want!
And if you want more pages, just click at the left top of the page to create another one.
You can have up to eight!

Personalize your page

Choose your page style!
Click at the right top of the page to personalize your page. In your page you can choose background, icons and sounds. You can also choose the style of mypage logo!

Make up your own page with KIDGETS

After creating your own page you can fill it with KIDGETS, all the digital toys brought to you by mypage.
Kidgets are all stored up in a big box called KIDGETBOX. Pick up the kidgets, try them, play with them and, if you like them, paste them to your page. You can put kidgets wherever you want. Great, huh?
It only takes a few clicks to make up your page: let’s see how to do it.

Now that the kidget is on your page you can decide where to put it.

You will learn about new things to do with your kidget and discover the great links that mypage staff selected for you!

Exchange kidgets with your friends

You just picked up a kidget and you think it really is a must-have? Send it to a friend! Click to go to the back of the kidget, then go to "Send": you only have to enter your friend’s address. To see all the kidgets that your friends sent you go to the PASS-THE-WORD page. Click the symbol on the left of your page to see the messages you got from your friends.

Paste a friend’s kidget on your page

Did you find a cool kidget while visiting a friend’s page? Click to go to the back of the kidget. Then click Paste and the kidget will appear on your page!

Find your friends online

Want a friend to see your page? Do you want to share kidgets, write messages, exchange gifts, meet your best friends & create your myband with your favorite celebs? Click the link FRIENDS at the right top of the page, send a friend request using the nickname or the email of your friend and tell him to join you on the coolest social network for kids! If your friends accept your invite, their avatars will appear on your Friend List!

Magic Word and Friend Card

Mypage is for real friends only! To keep crooks at bay, we have made up a rock-solid security system: the MAGIC WORD!
Click the link PROFILE at the right top of your page and go to the section MAGIC WORD. Watch the video and listen to the Pirate and the Siren: they will tell you how to use the MAGIC WORD. Make up your own secret code, fill and print up your Friend Cards and share them with your real friends!

Parental Control and parents’ permission

To guarantee fun and safety, mypage social network is only open to those who have their parents’ permission! After you’ve signed up to mypage, go ask your parents to activate their Parental Control.
And remember: if you want to share the fun with your friends, you must tell your parents to enable the feature "Create Friend List" in your personal settings.
